I did a search and could not come up with a good answer ...

I plan to replace the gold Schaller tuners on my SJ with gold Waverly's. I understand the Schaller screw holes might be exposed but I can deal with that. I also understand that I'll need the special "step-down" collers. No problem with that, except I can not find the step-down collers in GOLD. I checked StewMac and others. No luck. Has anyone ever seen them in Gold? Do they exist? Any other options?

Thanks,
DiAZ

Stew-Mac does have conversion bushings for 1/4" post holes in Gold...The Waverly footprint should cover up the old tuner mounting holes! Maybe just a fraction of it showing. Putty the old holes up first.

Dave...I posted a link to the wrong set of tuner bushings for your SJ...Sorry. You need the 3/8" sized ones, not the 1/4" Vintage Style ones.... These are the correct ones...!

I replaced my Schallers on both my SJs with Gotoh 510s Delta 21:1 gear ratio, couldn't be happier. Much better tuners than Waverlys and the antique gold always looks good with ebony buttons. the Gold on the Waverlys will eventually wear away to look silver/gold at the buttons. Didn't need any bushings, was even able to cover Schaller screw holes with new tuners.
