With BRZ so difficult to find and expensive I say it's time to take all those Martins that are average or just plain Dogs and put them into the hands of a skilled luither and retop them.I see no ethical problem whatsoever and recycle those dogs into something worth having.Who says ya can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. What say you Collinites?

I didn't know there were a lot of Martin Braz dogs out there. How about the pre-1965 Martin Brazilians? Wouldn't it be better to let a competent luthier attempt to figure out why the guitar is a dog and determine if the reasons for the bad sound could be remedied?

I would just have them put to sleep since they are already neutered.

My question is - Would Collings take and old Martin, pull the wood off it, and make it a Collings? Seems like this would be rather labor intensive and cost big $.
