I ask because there is a device, a guitar support called an "A Frame",that I generally prefer to use. It rests on the leg while sitting, will adjust the instrument to any position, and attaches with plastic suction cups. However, on my Martin, it's had a seemingly permanent reaction with the finish,(nitrocellulose). I hesitate to use on my 0002h for this reason.

I think Collings Guitar uses Poly finish with a coat of Nitro finish spray on top of the Poly finish from 98 onward.. before that, they uses Nitro finish..

If I remember correctly, our Moderator "Phoenix" uses one of this device with his Collings.. may be he have some experience to share..
