I'm almost certain the ebony was NOT stained on my OM-2HG. It was very dark but there were a few slightly lighter streaks, barely visible unless in direct light. I for one prefer the look of undyed ebony and rosewood, as there is something artificial looking about the dyed ebony and rosewood. Once you know what to look for, you can tell that it's dyed as it just has a certain look.
