Hi folks,
I have a 15-year-old German-made E.H. Roth violin that has a varnish finish. The store that I purchased the violin from said that I should use a special cleaner for the varnish finish. This cleaner has a very strong petroleum-base smell ... and it cleans the varnish finish nicely. (I use it only about twice a year.) Besides "a soft damp cloth", has Collings given any guidance as to how one should remove stubborn smudges that don't come off with a soft damp cloth? God bless, "louisiana" |
