Hi Folks,
I have been lurking around the forum for a while but have not posted before now, I apologize if I am violating protocol by not posting an introduction. I am now the proud owner of a new D2H which now has it's very first nick in the top. Nothing major but it does go deeper than the finish. I have never owned a guitar that I did not dent or nick up sooner or later, but I guess I never owned one good enough that I worried about it too much. My question is: since the dent goes deeper than the finish should I touch it up with anything? If so, what could I use that would be compatible with the finish? I am not too concerned about cosmetics but should I be concerned about the exposed wood? Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year, Ed |

Your best bet is probably to leave it alone. However, check out what the expert says at http://www.frets.com
