Yep, sounds like ToneRight--or if the hype is accurate, ToneRight on steriods.

I think what I'm doing with mine is quite good enough. My guitars are already in the top 1% of any I've ever heard. That works for me, and it's in my control.

For people who already know about devices like the ToneRite, or the Norelco massagers, it will take a much deeper explanation of the process before convincing us to part with $700 for this service. And that doesn't include shipping and insurance costs, which the customer covers. And I don't like the fact that they make the BUYER cover the PayPal fees, something the SELLER is required to do, according to the PayPal agreement. It's a growing trend and it's unfair.

Im going to monitor thier site over the months and see if they get thier patent.Who the heck wants something done to thier guitar that they "cant " explain to you.

And please, let's not allow this turn into another debate on the service's effectiveness. The ToneRite thread was gut wrenching. Few of us had/have any first-hand knowledge of the ToneRite, and only a few, if any, will have knowledge of this service. It's all speculation.

If you MUST discuss the enhancement process, please tack onto the end of the ToneRite novel.

I just got a "kick" out of the way they are marketing this service.Like looking at ugly pickguards,thats all.I was not privy to the tribulations of the TR thread.Ill trust Elambos instincts and nip it in the bud.

It's fine to discuss it Don, and if we ever find out WHAT if really is, it's assumed that we'll discuss that as well. I was just saying that it would be good for the forum if we avoid the "it works" vs. "it doesn't work" rhetorical battles.

But I'm just as curious as the next guy to find out what these folks are doing that merits the high price tag.

2.5% cash discount. That's $17.50 on a $700 bill.

Must be a high volume, low margin business, if they are worried about $17.50!

That's right. PayPal says that you're not allowed to offer cash discounts. It's just another way of charging the customer for the PayPal fees. It's overcharging by 2.5%.

So they us PayPal to avoid credit card fees, and they make the customer pay the 2.5% they get charged for the "service."

Pay the damn $17.50 AAL...

I say no thanks -- I'll pass.

Hi guys. Scot from Alchemy Acoustic Labs here. I had seen this thread and was going to make myself available for any and all questions you might have (that I can answer.) I am not interested in promoting our company at all here, so I'm not going to post any "Hey go look at this!" type of messages. But recently, I had responded to another thread on another acoustic site (which I had already belonged to, well before forming AAL) and got smacked down HARD simply for answering someone's questions. (similar to the ones you posted here) I was in a hurry today and tried to look for a "forum rules" section so I wouldn't make that mistake again, but didn't see one. So - I won't answer or take part in any discussion here until I get a green-light from a moderator.
