Hi,

Lots of amps out there. I've tried most, and liked both the Ultrasound line and the California Blonde. If you're interested, I have an Ultrasound AG50-DS2 that has become surplus. Very nice amp, but I've moved up to a small PA system and never use the amp anymore. It has been sitting unused for most of the past year. It works perfectly, and looks new, used only in the home. It's the dark brown tolex, they switched to lighter tan this year, otherwise it's identical to the new model which is their top of the line along with the AG100DS2 (more speakers, more power). Here's a link to their net site. http://www.ultrasoundamps.com/ultrasoundn.html

They list new for $695, Elderly instruments has them new discounted to $495. http://www.elderly.com/new_instruments/items/AG50DS2.htm I'd sell mine for $350, and would include UPS ground shipping to lower 48. Of, if you're local in the DC area, you're welcome to pick it up.

Regards,

Hap

I've been real happy with the sound and durability of my Genz-Benz Shenandoah 85. It has two channels, each of which has both a 1/4" line-in and an XLR (mic) line-in, which can be used simultaneously on one or both channels. Also, has digital effects (only one of which can be used at a time), including a real pretty chorus effect that I like.

The amp does not have a headphone out, which I hadn't considered before I purchased. It would be nice to have, I think, so you might want to consider if you might ever want that capability.

Yeah, but overall, a really warm tone with good e.q. and, like I said above, a range of effects to play with. And f.y.i, I bought mine two years ago for $500.

Have fun playing,

jeff

I just bought a Fishman Loudbox that I like very much tone-wise. I've had a few acoustic amps and this one sounds the best. One channel, 55 lbs is the one minus.
