I am going to get the bose tower system and was looking at the tonematch accessory as a mixer for portability. From reading their website, it appears there are only 3 xlr jacks and only 2 with phantom power.

Can anybody recommend a light weight compact mixer with compression that has the flexibility to handle more xlr jack?

I don't have an answer to your question, but know where you may find one. Bose L1 forum.

They have people who work at BOSE participating in the forum and may offer you excellent advice.
