This, of course, is our own "maplebaby." Quite a few nice videos, he has on youtube, including some fun ones with his son playing drums.

Thanks Louisiana for posting - really appreciate your kind words! Thanks B Woods as well for your kind comments and for admitting you know who the old guy was behind such a beautiful guitar? lol

The I-35 is just a great guitar from Austin finest. I'm really enjoying it and very thankful to have one, thanks again, dale.

Nice clips. Have to say, kind of off the point, sure is interesting how good teles sound for jazz.

thanks localplayer for the very kind words - I sure appreciate them! These are great guitars. It is just amazing that Collings electrics hit the market as arguably some of the best electrics ever built - guess those of us here should't be surprised!

John - I agree 100% - I love teles. Scotty Anderson gets amazing jazz tone out of his, just to name one of many.

Fine playing of most tasty arrangements! Quality stuff all the way around. Your Headstrong amp sounds great.

Maplebaby; as always you put out some great music!! How are you liking your I35? Some owners, even in this forume, have been sorely dissapointed with it's results. I have you have several electric Collings i.e. 290 and CL and the I-35. Have you had any time with the Soco? Thanks, hope you and your family have a safe and happy 4th of July. PhilCagle

Phil, I don't recall hearing many people who were disappointed in the I-35. I know I am not.

I think there have been some people who aren't blown away by the CL but that seems to be largely because Lollars don't sound like Burstbuckers (or whatever other LP pickup you're used to).

My two cents,

Mike

Thanks again for your kind words & I hope everything is just great these days!

Wow, what a great selection of Collings electrics! I'm happy for you. You have some difficult choices on what to grab every day!!

I am more than happy with my I-35. I haven't found any style of music I play that I couldn't use it for. It can be very dark with jazz tones & spank in the bridge position - put me down as a satisfied customer who feels lucky to have one!

I also have a 290 that just smokes through the Headstrong! When I plug it up my reaction is usually - oh my!

I have not spent any considerable time on a CL but hope one day to follow your example & add one to the stable.

I have never played a Soco but my what a beautiful guitar! To be honest the CL Jazz has me all out of sorts - I'm looking for a way to stay married and own one at the same time!

Great to hear from you friend, hope you holiday is a great one as well!

Dale
