Yeah Stixx, I know what you mean. I figure they must be fine guitars, but considering Leo is the guy who built the Strat, Tele, Precision, Jazz, etc., G & L's design never did it for me. I admit there must be a physical attraction before I'll pick up a guitar for a test drive. Is that chauvinistic? Wink

I know what you mean. I have a couple buddies
who play them and play them really well and of
course there are the Hellcasters and such but
at the end of the day it was Leo that designed
them both and who among us has ever improved on
perfection and if 64 strats bring six figure money in good condition what the heck is anyone
going to buy a new one and improve on that.

That said I bought two fender strats in 1999 when they came out with the new slightly smaller body and the first batch of two color
burst came out with solid one piece light weight
real swamp ash bodies and as if that wasn't enough they gave a c-note rebate on them. My buddy gave me two at dealer net plus fifty bucks so I got a grand fifty in TWO of the finest strats ever made since 54 and doggone
if I can figure what happened but they cut off
the inital batch afte six months and so now I got two of them and the twins are staying with
me till the blues rises again and in the meantime, I just wonder what is really going on
in the world of gutiar buying and how many strats does one country need anyway? LOL OK
I'm going away now back on topic.
