Via this thread, I'm seeing a nice mix of Teles and Collings in our households. This goes to show there is a balanced universe.

Yup. I'm a Tele guy too. Suhr Classic T with Glendale steel saddles, Frailin Steel pole pick-ups (very P-90 ish in a tele configuraton), Mary Kay whitewash finish with oil finish maple neck/board and big frets.

Currently on the bench, Tony Nobles is building me a "clemcaster"--1 piece ash body, quarter sawn maple neck with Brazilizn rosewood board (clay dots), Don Mare pick-ups, Vintique bridge plate with Budz brass saddles, Vintique "neck kit" with Glendale plate, Callaham hardware everywhere else (including a cool reversed control plate with 4 way switch). Blonde finish with a 3 ply white guard.

Also in the family, an 83 G&L SC-2 (mustang shaped body, tele pick-up configuration). One of the greatest "sleeper" guitars of all time.

Grosh strat with Fralins through a Blues Junior with a Jensen. 15 watts is plenty unless you're playing stadiums. A trem pedal for swamp flavor and a delay for slap-back old school rock. All ya need, maybe more. Oh, and the I-35 deluxe goes through the same rig, and still will since no one seems to want to buy it. Oh well.

What's a Glendale bridge. Is the ASAT spacing the same as a traditional tele?

For ASAT info and questions, I highly recommend the G&L forum:
G&L Tribute Page
The FAQ section has a lot of pup info, woods, photos...good people. I've been dividing my time between there and here. G&L Comanche VI reissue coming my way in August.

Don't know if these qualify as 'Leo's Fenders', but the man certainly had the right ideas & genius. I think he would be OK with it!

I'm currently putting a couple together cause that what I do for fun. I have built some for friends w/ mini-buckers in the neck position. They sounded so good, I decided to put one together for myself...& another for my friend Kenny Blue Ray, who recently took up residence in Portland. His is sporting a set of Don Mare pickups. I like to carve some Strat-like contours into them prior to painting. They are also more in keeping w/ the thinner early 50's Broadcaster bodies (1/4" less deep).
KBR's Pine job is just about done weighing a scant 6.25 lbs...

A nice BRW board on this one:
