I thought about Gibson, but I have yet to play a Gibson acoustic that I like. I just can't get anything out of them. I should have also included the disclaimer that I don't own an electric and don't expect that I ever will. Well, maybe an archtop...someday...maybe.

How very well said. Thanks. I was at the plant right before Christmas and sent about half an hour as Bill talked to my wife and I about these. The guy is "stoked." Let's let him enjoy it. I've considered buying an electric for some time and now, I'm really tempted.

Please give me a break about the whole acoustic purity cult thing. It smacks of Dylan at Newport in '65: "oh, my gawd, he'd gone over to the dark side". Martin made lousy electrics. Bill won't. I"ve played PRS and Anderson because Bill didn't make electric guitars. Now he does. That's enough for me. Music is music, and there are just different ways of ampifying the guitar sound. It's a great time to be a guitar player, and this is another reason!
