If you're looking for a Collings I-290, I can recommend the store where I bought mine, Pioneer Music, in my home-town, Portland, Oregon. They're very well-known and respected in the Pacific Northwest.

When I phoned them, they told me that they had "one of every color" on back-order. I've already snagged the TV Yellow model but the others should be in the store reasonably soon. They had told me that it would take up to 8 weeks but it only took 3 (that was about 4 weeks ago).

An interesting side-note is that the owner, KC Wait, has a custom-made ash-bodied I-290.

I'm not affiliated with them in any way - just thought I'd pass on the tip to anyone who is looking to buy a 290 from a reliable source.
