Didn't know anything about this one, but I guess Collings has released their new SoCo model? It's lines look a little reminicient of the Robin Savoy model...which is an outstanding guitar also.

SoCo Deluxe

Holy Mother of Pearl, the I-35 deluxe and the City Limits had a love child. Just what I needed: more wood lust. There's a little Gibson 175 in there too, but up about twenty notches.

Yet another interesting electric from Collings. I can't keep up.... or rather, my bank account can't keep up.

Previously I'd thought we were unlucky in the UK because we get so few Collings electrics over here. Now I'm thinking it might be a benefit... not sure my marriage could stand the strain if every town had a shop stocking the full range.

If every town had a shopfull, they'd be Taylors, not Collings. That's part of their secret: resisting the urge to "go big" and go straight downhill, as so many other American companies have.

Good point sonoman.... and like I said, the fewer I see, the fewer I yearn for.

Over here in Great Britain there appear to be about 4 stockists in all of England, Wales and Scotland.

Looks as if the SoCo is already gone from Gryphon. They do have a nice blonde I-35, though...

Nope, it's still there, as are as many others! Look at the very bottom of the Collings Guitars list.

Ah, silly me! I'm so used to looking at the Solid-Body electrics category!! It's in the Archtops! (I had also checked Newest Arrivals, but didn't see it there...)
