Greetings All,
Just wondering how neck size differs in between my 290 and a I35? I'm really thinking about one but I don't want a chunky neck like the one on my 290.
I liken the 290 neck more akin to a 59 Les Paul then my 60 model. Please tell me what your thoughts are on this.
I wish that I could try one out with my own amps and effects but short of buying one thats going to be nearly impossible.
Best,
Papple

Papple, might I suggest a vintage ES-335?

Contact Stu at Fat Sound Guitars. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe he told me about a month ago that Collings had allowed one his customers to order either a City Limits or an I-35 with a different neck profile.

All the I-35's that I have played have had a similar neck profile to the 290. For me it is the perfect match.

Maybe they would allow you to custom order a different size like jsboswell mentioned.
