I don't post a lot but sure enjoy this site and have learned from you all. I realize this is a general site for acoustic guitars, but thought I would see how many of you play electric guitar, which ones and such. I apologize in advance if electric talk is off limits here. However since Collings will be offering electric guitars soon I thought someone may be interested in a friendly discussion. I play a Suhr Classic, Anderson Hollow T and a PRS Singlecut. I guess teles are my favorite. I try and play electric and acoustic everyday. I am excited to get a chance to play the Collings electric sometime. Any chicken pickers, rockers, ect. out there?

I'm a Tele fan, as well as other electric guitars. I guess electrics must be fair game now that Bill and Co. are making them.

I play a standard tele, but I'm partial to acoustic. People really get peeved when I pull it out at a bluegrass jam...wonder why?

I have heard good things about Dan Grosh guitars. It will be interesting to see what type of market share Collings gets being "new kid on the block" in regards to electric. Suhr, Anderson, Grosh, not to mention PRS, Fender, Gibson. Great products do sell though. Do you think the existing Collings owners will be customers or will we prefer to be "purists" to the acoustics?

From what I"ve heard from very reliable dealers, I may well be selling the Grosh and going with Bill. We'll all find out in the spring, supposedly. But Bill works on his own schedule. Because he can...
