I have not had the opportunity to play the Gibson model that you have pictured and have to admit that it looks really sharp. However, my experience with looking new Gibsons has not been inspiring and I have found many flaws that range from finish, setup and overall craftsmanship. I am not really into bashing Gibson but I have to report what I have found.
The Collings 290 that I own and other models that I have played have shown Collings typical impeccable quality standards.
