Yes, my Les Paul is chambered. It weighs in the 8 pound neighborhood, so very manageable. And honestly, I prefer the subtle change in tone of the chambered body.

Agreed, that the strat is, doubtless, the best all around, versitile electric guitar ever designed. Of course, the prewar D28 was the standard for acoustics (Ramirez notwithstanding, or D'Angelico), but then Bill came along. My money's on the Austin boys, like it was on the mandolins. Until five years ago, it was all Loar and Gilchrist and that lot. the general opinion seems to have swung to Collings, especially the varnished versions. My bandmate has one that blows the gibsons to smithereens. But I have a Grosh strat that will be very hard to part with, unless Bill hits the sucker out of the park. Yellowstone Park.
