Hi Cowboycamper, I'm curious to know whether your Clark Beaufort is noisy. I've got a nice Tweed Deluxe reproduction made by Clara Amps of Calgary. It's quiet when the volume is set between 6 and 9 and the tone at 4 or 5, but when you get out of those ranges, there is a fair hum.

So far,pretty quiet Gregory. I hit on a nice sound with the Clark today with my 63 TELE Relic. Plugged into #2 of bright channel,turn both volumes to 11 and tone to 8-9. Those volumes interact and give a sound that you can't get just using one volume and the tone. Plus, with a Tele in the #2 Bright or 1 Normal takes the nasty treble edge off a bit that comes with Bright 1. The Clark has me

The Clark is tempting with the Celestion Blue. I was thinking of ordering one with the attenuator.

Carr Mercury owners -- what kind of power tube are you using in your amp? I have stuck with the KT-66, though I think they are now being made with EL-34s?
