I have been getting to know my first Collings electric guitar; Was wanting a SoCo but bankroll was more in tune with the 290. I love the neck and tonal diversity with the p-90s. Glad to see that the workmanship and attention to detail was right up there with the acoustic instruments they produce. How about some comments from the other 290 players? What's your take on this one; Has any posting of vids made it to this forum? What about you tube? Thanks pnc
Thanks B.Woods. That ToneDr. covers a lot of territory doesn't he; It's really great that he has his son involved. I could never see my Dad jammin' with me.
I have had my 290 for over a year now and it is one of my most favorites to play and I love the tone. It seems to be able to do whatever I want it to do, be it mellow clean sounds or rocking hard. You will enjoy it.
BTY: Mine is TV Yellow also but with the pearl pick guard.
Aha, that's maplebaby, who posts often on both sides of the forum. I've seen enough of his videos to say, what a fine player with a fine collection of Collings (and others).
