Amid all this talk of 290's and City Limits, is anybody here still permanently welded to his/her Gibson?
Here's mine: a ’60 ES-330TD. C'mon, break out those photos! |

Here's my '66 Trini Lopez with Ted Greene's mods.

Good gracious, who is that masked Duolian man
That is a very cool Trini indeed. What were Ted Greene's mods? A Varitone plus some kind of phase changing plus coil taps? |

Yes, absolutely! My 2002 R2...

Indeed! The Bigsby, Varitone, phase switches (the 2 sliders) and coil splitters (small black knobs with brass brads indicating each coil and "both on"). Also, switched the original knobs for speed knobs. It plays like a dream and can get A LOT of sounds. Plus, the fact that Ted G. had a hand in making it what it is today is a constant source of inspiration. D1A DS1AH...a SERIOUS guitar MT2V 290 mit Stetsbar various non-Collings things with strings |
