I have the original G-DEC. The 30 seems to have about the same gadgets with more muscle. I loved the idea that it was so versatile with so many features. For me, it is just too much to figure out. NEVER lose the manual!

If you are good at learning and remembering how to run through the settings and features, it should be fun. I'm the type that can't run a DVD player, so the thing is pretty useless to me. I found one of the default amp types I kinda like, that is all I use.

I think there was a good reason they came out with the junior model that has less features and just knobs. For idiots like me!

So, if you are good with gadgets like this, they seem cool. If you are like me, they just turn into being used as a little amp with no features.

I finally remembered what the G-DEC reminds me of. One of those sports watches with the four buttons. If you can remember how to do all the functions on a watch like that, the G-DEC will be OK.

I'd let you borrow mine if you were close, just to play with the features. Unfortunately, I am on the eastern slope of Colorado. I don't recall the hood being anywhere around these parts.

BillDuck...thanks for the feedback (little amp joke there)

You're so right...the hood is nowhere close to Colorado.

I did buy the G-DEC and I found it pretty easy to program and remember. I guess I am good at those watches but I haven't owned a watch for years. It is great to sit my guitar room and play. It sounds decent for the price and is really nice to have a drum background. I've also found the practice recording loop to be good as well to evaluate those tricky licks.

Boy, I'm sure glad I know how to run my DVD player. If you need yours turned on or anything, let me know and I'll run over and help!
