Is that the plastic film... still attached to the truss rod cover???

yes it is. This guitar is just amazing sounding and so fun to play, unreal that their 1st guitars are just so cool, of course they had some good history to draw from, and then they raise the bar. Strat-tastic do you have a Collings electric?

Yes, Maplebaby... I have a 290 in Crimson. Love it. Only a matter of time before I get another Collings electric... either a CL or an i35. I've played both.. and I liked both... a lot.
