If I were female and living in Nashville, there could be no finer guitar. That wood is so amazing it really doesn't need bling. But the bling is mighty fine. Maybe in the next life! Thanks for the shots. It's always good to see as wide a spectrum as possible. What a fine time to be a guitar player. The world is going down in flames, but we can play amazing guitars as the smoke rises. Sorry. It just came.
Personally, I don't find that patterning on the back to be attractive at all. Looks to me like a big stain, as if somebody dropped a jar of ink on the back or something. Different strokes...
When I lived in Florida I played a Foley OM that was a very nice-sounding guitar. On the heavy side.(like Collings!)
The owner of a music store there had a Foley dreadnaught that he played at jams at the shop, and it sounded quite good.
Let's see, I could find 5-6 nice used Collings for what they are asking for this guitar. I'd be happy with 4 Collings of my choice rather than spend the $$$ on a single guitar. But it isn't about money is it?
btw: I'd consider moving this thread to the General discussion area.

Kenny, I can see your point, different strokes for different folks, but give me quality over quantity any day. This thing is simply gorgeous, and one can only hope that it sounds better than it looks. So, who's buying it???
