I think is a Collings C10 Deluxe, a copy of the Gibson L00 design with Archtop guitar peghead and X bracing inside the guitar!!

I think it captures the best of Gibson, Martin and Collings Design..

The C series stands for Collings.. and that mean something...

After close inspection with the pics.. I am probably wrong.. its not a C10.. It looks more like a CJ to me

Hey Ed!

Thanks for checking it out.

Doesnt a LOO seem to be not to suitable for bluegrass? It alsmost looks too small to be a jumbo, but you may be right.

take care,
Jared

ahh yeah jsut looked at the cj !

I def think that is the one.

thanks Ed.

I had a few cds sent to me from a friend and I really love the sound this guy gets out of his guitar. So I checked out the website and found it was a Collings which led me here.
I own a Taylor 710ce cocobolo. I had no idea Collings wre made with bolt on necks as well. This is true?
So I wondner what a cj like this goes for. Have any idea?

I copied this from a search with gbase:

quote:
NEW Collings CJ, Natural, NEW, HSC, $3,015.00 eek

STOCK# 2045D, slope shoulder dreadnought, this guitar is one of the most pleasing sounding guitars I have ever played, these guys nail it every time, without a doubt one of the finest guitars in our time.
Guitar Emporium of Louisville

You can probably get it used for about 2000-2200. big grin

She's a CJ that he's playing - great guitar. It's sufficiently versatile to cover bluegrass (especially those with an adirondack top), or even jazz, fingerstyle, folk. True - a D1 is probably the quintessential bluegrass guitar, but the CJ is more comfortable to play and mates a bit better with the human voice.
