the predator is a missile

The Predator is also that unmanned plane that fires Hellfire missiles (via guidance instructions from lasers and satellite coordinates at the bad guys) -- occasionally it wipes out wedding parties, elementary schools, hospitals and the like by mistake.

Oops. Collateral damage. I love euphemisms. Re collings 12 strings: that one is still on the Mass Street site, page 15 or 16 under "not in stock". 1990 Brazilian Jumbo. Sold, I think, for 88. If we'd have only known..... tom

tom,
From the Useless Information Archive - Lemmings don't really jump off the cliff. It was a suicide myth perpetuated by a Disney movie that incorrectly asserted this fact and created the footage to fit. However, the myth has created a catch phrase that won't go away in our lifetime.

side note: We DID actually land on the moon. I think.

That was Neil Young, wasn't it, Randy? Or was it Pink Floyd? I know lemmings don't run off cliffs; it's just a handy dandy urban legend image that's easier to chuck out there than actually thinking. Baaaaa. tom

i like the thread ideas but i was really suprised by sonomans response. i fully expected a shout for "moderator, moderator, please delete this thread."
it can only lead to no good. please don't criticize of question me or my blandering, babbaling quotes. something like "Arituau munumis dunso" or i may have to soon start insulting people, if i haven't already!

OK sorry, I'm not up on these new military names. I got out in the 70's.
I was just thinking about the Predator movies and even the Predator vs Alien movies.

Could ANY guitar live up to the pre-delivery buildup on this one? Tom, its gonna be a real interesting day when you take delivery. I'm anticipating that we will all sense a disturbance (in a positive way) in the Collings Force when you first place pick or finger to string and sound is created.... Wink

Yes, we will all sense a sonic Harmony within the Collings Force and on that day the Force will be stronger within our universe. Big Grin

Tom, I think you should work it so your son videos the maiden voyage of the Varnish CJ, and he then immediately posts to YouTube, and you link it here. We'll then all vote on the results. Ya feeling the pressure yet Big Grin

No, man, I got over stage fright when I was about ten. Roll tape. I might well tape it if it passes the 48 test. It has to be- must, absolutely be- better than the CJA I have. Otherwise, no point. It ain't about paint. But I'd never have come this far if I didn't think it's gonna be off the charts. I'm sure I've already posted that Alex thinks that model- those exact specs- is the best guitar they make. That's what I want: the best they make. simple. greedy. obsessive. just like many of y'all. best tom
