My SJ is a combo of things and has the M bridge, as well as peghead and wide bridge string spacing. It was custom ordered this way, not by me. The bigger guitar can carry the wider bridge, looks wise. I think that on the smaller bodies it looks too big.

re bridge size: the C10 comes stock with a belly bridge, which is no smaller than an SJ bridge. The SJ bridge is just a little more, say, sculptural, and, I think, elegant in an unobtrusive way. the same could be said of a pyramid bridge, the size elements excluded. At my age, I'm trying to avoid bridge work. tom

Actually I think the typical C10 bridge is straight (not bellied). I've seen a couple of deep-bodied C10s with belly bridges (perhaps to better accommodate medium strings in the deeper body), but most of 'em are straight (but not pyramid).

my C-10 is straight. I'm sure the other options are out there. It's the footprint that counts, maybe a more sculptured look would be nice.

whaddo I know. the three C10's I've had have been bellied. Or maybe it was me. in all probability, much ado about nothing, although the big Gibson bridges with bolts and faux MOP must damp the top big time. tom

Yeah, I think the standard for C-10s is the straight, smaller footprint bridge, limited to light strings. The camper, or any C-10 with the OM neck will have the belly bridge.
