Hello, I found a new collings D-2h for about 3,575 and I was wondering if anyone knew how much a reasonable price would be for a new D-2h. I was thinking maybe I could get it down for about 3000? or maybe even a little bit less.

A stock D2H with standard neck width now goes for $3150, and that's with the iron-clad ten percent discount. If you find a dealer who sells you one for under three grand, they won't be a dealer much longer. You might find a mint used one or a shop-worn item that would go for under 3k.

If the price was $3,575 it probably had the 1 3/4" neck. With the maximum allowable 10% discount, you can find them for $3,217. Here's one at Elderly:

As you'll see, they also have a standard D2H for exactly as Sonoman predicted: $3,150.
