No, this is not going to become a daily thing ...

But I had a couple requests yesterday from Forum members for "something using the Borges OM" and a request from one of my favorite former students who is on my music distribution list to make the videos more entertaining, "like use costumes or something".

She has a wicked sense of humor ...

So ... to appease both groups, I put this together last night. I recently posted an audio-only version of this song, but it wasn't with the Borges. Just trying to be a pleaser, here. Smile

VIDEO #2

Peace,

Mike

Very nice. Just a bit of hang at chord changes but that will soon resolve. Nice sound. What are you reverbing with?

Thanks. The hang before the B minors is intentional (you can hear them on the audio-only version I posted here last month as well). If there are other hangs anywhere, it's because I suck ... Smile

The reverb is just one of the RoomWorks settings within Cubase. Can't remember which specific one I used for this one ... probably whichever one I used last (not that that's very helpful). The wet mix is about 10% and that particular setting is pretty subdued as it is. The guitar has a lot of shimmer to it.

Thanks for listening,

Mike

Thanks for posting. Nice playing, song, guitar, recording, video and hat. Did I miss anything? Oh yeah, and all that crap in the background. Wink

Sounds great! But did you get a new haircut or something? -- you look a little different but I can't quite put my finger on it . . .

Yeah, it's a new look. Popular opinion in my house is that I should wear a different dorky hat with every video I do. Strange how they seem to be in cahoots with my students.

Lovely playing on a luscious sounding OM. Julius in on the short list, no doubt. I think that Sly and the Family Stone hat suits you. The patriotic theme makes the concept blurry enough no one will know if you're serious or not. As long as you do, it's all good. You're on your way to being, in this vein, the Cat in the Hat(s). Well done! tom

At first I thought you were at a music store, then I realized it was your music room. The Borges is very rich sounding. Thanks for sharing. The hat works.
