I recently completed an upgrade of my home studio equipment and am dusting off some old things to help me get my arms around the ins and outs of the new setup. That, combined with the fact that I've recently had 3-4 people ask to hear something on my 0-18K, led me to put this together last night.

http://vimeo.com/5137752

I posted an audio file of this song back in December using my L-1 (because of a thread dealing with nickel strings), but the 0-18K is the guitar that I use most often when I'm playing things like this. It just feels right.

And David, I do apologize for the ordinariness of the hat (again). But somehow it didn't feel right playing "Sweet Hour of Prayer" in a dunce hat. Smile

Happy Sunday,

Mike

Mike - thank you for posting that. I always like to hear you play and that tune made me breathe a little deeper and slower. Ahhhh.

What a great big resonant sound comes out of that little guitar! How does it play? I'd heard that Martin built the 0-18K for Hawaiian slide with a straight nut and saddle.

I always enjoy your playing also but the Vid would not play on my new IMac...

Kerry,

I jacked around with YouTube this evening and the HD conversion is actually less stable. Make sure you have the most recent Flash update, close your other applications and let me know if it's any better.

I've heard of problems from a few people but not very many. So I dunno ...

Thanks for tuning in anyway. Smile

I'm going to try a 720p export to YouTube and see if that works any better. Stay tuned.

Beautiful...Just beautiful.

You are truly blessed Mike. That Wayfaring Stranger song reminds me of the old tv series, "Then came Bronson".

Papi, thanks so much for the kind words.

I'm blessed to have a great family, good friends, and several instruments that are far too good for me. It's a good place in which to be.

Smile
