it's been about a year since I last posted here (the last one was a solo version of Bill Cheatum on my 2000 D1A). Well, I've been REALLY hard at work this past year on a new CD and I thought I'd give the fine members here at the Collings forum a sneak peak by sharing a track from this new release.

This is going to be a DOUBLE CD - one CD is AMERICANA (like Nebraska house, and my past releases), and the other is going to be BLUEGRASS - this will include some of the songs off the 1st CD redone in a bluegrass style, some burning originals, and some serious re-working of bluegrass standards.

so, I'm posting an original: "Angelyne". This one is on BOTH CDs so you can hear the difference. Also this is the unmastered version (there are some background vocals and some mixing left - hey, i said it was a sneak peak!)

This track features the D1A in full flight!

Also, one extra thing - I will be publishing a transcription of this CD (charts and solos in standard notation and tab) if anyone is interested.
