I recently recorded a couple of songs written by two of our Hallowed Number. I wanted to share them simply because these two tunes really hit me where I live, and I very much appreciate the talent that these two gents possess.

The first one is a song Tom (flatfootmt) wrote a while back. I think it's the best thing he has done. My version is decidely different from his (in a fingerstyle kind of way), but I'm using his old Borges Barndance so hopefully that makes up for it. And for those of you who aren't familiar with Tom's work, you can find him HERE

Here's the song:

Weary Heart

The second is a tune penned by Dave Berch. I asked Dave for the tab to this piece a couple years ago and finally got around to recording it (not particularly well) this evening. The guitar is my maple / Sitka cutaway SJ. There's no reverb or anything -- but the tune is in open D and there are a LOT of open strings going at all times.

Again, I've taken a few liberties (my apologies to the author), but I do love the song.

Serenity

Thanks again, guys
