dberch,
Thanks for the link. How did you copyright the songs on your CD you wrote yourself?
Regards, Rick

David - looks like you're in Bloomington, no?

I have a huge history there. Both sides of my family lived there for a while. My mom worked at WCIA and State Farm. My father was a lifeguard at the Bloomington Country Club until he went away to school. I went to Wesleyan, so did my sister, so did my brother, so did my aunt, so did my great uncle, so did my grandfather. I know the town very well and I have a million great memories from all over the area.

Where part of town are you in?

Rick - About the copyrights - if you're a member of either BMI or ASCAP (both are performing rights organizations), you submit your tune to them and they track it for you.

I've got Collings guitars...I've got lots of original songs. What I don't have is the first clue about mp3,wav,BMI,ASCAP,or MONEY but count me in if it's a sampler or a benefit for Sophie.

I got pigs.....where's the market?

I think it's a great idea.

Cheers,

I would be happy to post one of rick-slo's recordings and call it my own. If I cover his tune, do I have to pay him $40? If HE records it for me, is it $80? I think it's $80 well spent!

Seriously, I'd like to be included if posssible.
