Hi everyone,

This is my first post to the Collings Forum and I'd like to share a collection of recordings I've made over the last couple of weeks. They're all covers of Tommey Emmanuel tunes (plus one Chet Atkins song). Any comments and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I recorded them all on my Collings OM-1G with a Rode NT-4 Stereo Condenser Mic (two of the recordings also include an LR Baggs active I-Beam signal as well). I ran the signal(s) through a TC Electronic Konnekt 24D interface into a Mac Book running Logic Express.

Thanks for listening! Guy

Very nice stuff, Guy. I prefer the non-pickuped sound, but all of the recordings are tight and clean.

I'm not sure whether I'm more inspired to practice now or whether I should just give up and go strum a couple of G chords ... Smile

Thanks for the comments, Mike. I agree...I also prefer the pure 'mic' sound! Guy

Guy,

Sounds great. Really sounds like you've practiced hard. I've always wanted to learn how to do the harmonics like in Over the Rainbow. Nice job, you've got it down.

Kenny

btw: Did you find the tab to "And So it Goes" somewhere?

Kenny,

No, I just figured out "And So It Goes" by ear. (I've never gotten good a figuring out tunes via tab...although I'm trying to improve!)
Thanks,
Guy

Wonderful dynamics.
