I'm playing with the camera and I wanted to see if this will work for long distance sharing of licks. Can you get an idea of how this is played from the video? It's my Collings OM3C in DADGAD playing a bit of "Different Times" by Lawrence Juber.

Hey Bob the Rocker do you have some tab or sheet music for that there tune. That walking bass line put a hook in my mouth and reeled me in! Nice playing, B-

I got this from the Lawrence Juber website a couple years ago. It's not posted now. A tab for Danny Boy is in it's place.

I never got past the first page.

Enjoy!

Well, I tried to attach the file, but I'm not smart enough to make it work, so here'a a link to my website and the PDF file.

Oh yeah! The walking bass is what hooked me as well. You should really hear Juber play it. Makes me sound like a hack.

Nice Video! crisp and clear! I love the angle you put your camera but if you can also include your right hand, it will be even better!

Great playing and very nice sounding Collings!!

I started learning that song a couple months ago too and never got past the first page. It is a long tab! I'm probably up to 1/8 speed of LJ on it so far. I need to get back to it soon. My OM1 sounds amazing in DADGAD.

Ed, I'm not sure a right hand view would help too much beyond seeing what strings he's hitting - our good friend RB plays with a strange hybrid right hand. I have a hard enough time with nothing but fingers or just a flat pick, and I bet he had a flat pick and one finger pick on his index finger!

Keith, guitar and playing both sound great! I think it would be a great way to share licks long-distance. Video was plenty clear enough.

Yes, I am using the mutant-hybrid style with a flatpick and nails on fingers 2 and 3. No fingerpicks. The nails work for me (most of the time).

I'm playing with the camera and video editting, so I'll shoot another demo with the right hand as well as see how it goes. I might be able to make the file size even smaller and still be OK to watch. I'm still experimenting.
