This is by far the most interesting guitar forum.... I've been to the Martin forum several times and although they have a huge following, I get bored to tears after about 3 minutes of reading mudane reports on subjects that have no interest. Other forums leave me in tears and I just won't go there anymore except for the Acoustic Player Magazine forum which is very nice and holds some very good players.

Been here coming on 5 years and I consider myself a self proclaimed pro-surfer. Been to the end of the internet countless times. I've seen most everything but the civility here make this one of my favorite 2 sites.

Not the biggest but certainly one of the best..............

Melvin:

You're on the wrong forum, if you think a guitar is just a guitar.

I believe it was a cigar. It could have been a cucumber, or something else cyllindrical. A guitar is not. There; let's move on.

That's a whole lotta trouble to go to to make an obscure point. I thought a woody was a vintage station wagon. Silly me. Now, give us your take on cucumbers, pickled and plain. Have a cigar.

I sense projection. Never knew Sigmund was into cross dressing. It takes an afficionado to know those lurid details. And I don't smoke, thanks. I do believe we've now effectively refuted the thread premise. At least I've never asked how many cowz make up a nofski. Gotta polish my Polish. Don't go there.

Geez, guys, way to ruin what Kenny started out as a good thread! You both woulda been spanked on UMGF by now... and no, that has no sexual connotation in it.

My favorite online forum (I choose to read the archives manually every day rather than get a gazillion e/mails) is the Flatpick-List.... and UMGF and UCGF are the next in my "favorites" list....

As a lefty player another "Top 5" fave is leftyfrets.net... over 160 members now from around the world and some *serious* players and collectors there!

Mea culpa. The world has many serious problems. This thread is not one of them, but I apologize for any delicate sensibilities that may have been bruised in the interchange. Insert Chief Joseph quote here. If you don't know it, Google it. Peace out. tom
