I can take issue with things I feel are unjust.
That 24hour thread really bothered me when I read it. That thread led directly to this one.
In my america people are innocent till proven guilty, unless your O.J. Wink

there are always two side too every story but alot of you were convinced the seller was telling the truth, why because he has alot of posts, he posted before the buyer, he is a great writer.
Elambo you were totally on the side of the seller, go back and look.

I'm trying my dead level best to conclude that our septic problems and the direction toward which this thread veers are purely coincidental.
Re petroleum: I've no sway over gas, so I'll just take a pass, and curtail this rhyme scheme before it bites me in (the part that crosses over the fence last). See? Decorum on the forum. Don't mess with mr. in between. thos

Mikey, Mikey, Mikey....Do you really think the good folks on this Forum don't know your game. Sad.... But funny in its own way. Mikey, almost begging to be kicked out. But Elambo leaving him on, since every post from Mikey makes it more obvious WHAT IS UP. WHAT IS UP MIKEY?! Is that bridge in Brooklyn still for sale?

In the just shoot me now thread you suggest that someone must have been bribed to grade the brazilian AAA and out it on the label. So in your opinion Bruce is dishonest and therefore so is Collings. Maybe you should grade the wood and do the tap tones. Quote

Petemcq, That is your opinion of what I said, but those words were never written by me.
I don't know who Bruce is and I don't care. I never heard of him and if I did I have forgotten.
I call it the way I see it if the wood looks like B grade Brazilian to me, then that's what I call it. No matter if the label says Baaa and vice versa.
I have never been the type to run with the pack, I'd rather blaze my own trail.
If Collings starts making, what I think is crap, I'll say it...I won't have to people here are not stupid. They'll say it before I do.

Are we really amigos or is this some of that "tounge in cheek" stuff I was warned about?

An humorous allusion to "Blazing Saddles" or a rebuff of the moderator? Initially I couldn't tell. At the office we have a rule regarding e-mail. If it's more than who, what, when, where, and how - pick up the phone. Cause you never know how someone will interpret your commentary. A long time ago I learned that my wife and I have very different ideas about what is funny.

This forum is at its best, for me, when the community shares its collective experience about things related to guitars and music. In the media, much of what passes for discussion is really no more than personal attack. It should be possible to disagree without turning on the individual with whom you have the difference of opinion.

Sorry Mikey, I'd respond, but I've got to go wash my cat. Go Celtics!

Sadly, this ridiculous post is an example of exactly what Mikey was talking about. And as a long-time forum member (who cares), and Collings owner (has nothing to do with the quality of my posts), I completely agree with his take on el-lambo's handling of the situation. It was completely inflammatory, then added a criticism of a forum member...for doing exactly what he was doing.

The mistakes need to be acknowledged so as not to be repeated, and to show class. Being a moderator does not give you a direct line to the truth. Let's cut the mob behavior here.
