elambo was that last post a response from a position as a general forum member or was it a response of a unbiased remain nuetral moderator? after reading the posts i have to admit, there is not enough disgretchins being used here and way to many lassitudinal attitudes.

Me? I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy. However, it seems like someone here has chosen the latter. Keep El Elambo on the island, I say.

Power is a strange thing. The abuse of power is common. When moderators appoint themselves judge jury and executioner the power has gone to their head and they are nothing more than annoying insects who should be terminated

I see that this is your 1st post. You seem to bring a lot of forum knowledge so soon in the game. Welcome. Since it's your first time, you might like to know that this particular mod wasn't self appointed, but invited, and to think that there's any kind of real "power" would be an enormous misconception. I can delete a post - woohoo - not really much to get excited about. If there's any real power it would only come after trust is earned. Never before. Fair resolve, that's all it's about, and this forum rarely needs resolve of any sort. That leaves me generally unemployed. Once you get to know the place (and since this is your first time here you couldn't know it, right ) you'll see that these buncha nuts are pretty free-roaming.

As one might expect, Elambo hit the screw on the head: free range nuts. But honey roasted, so we're easy on palette. But we tend to get lost, no knowing our lassitude from our linguine. I'm goin' with true north. Y'all can have magnetic north if you'd like. All the best, along with the rest, tom

Yes I just joined. I have spent time reading this forum as you do not need to be registered to do so. I love Collings guitars, that is why I visit here. You became personally involved in a private sale by trying to get the seller to give up the buyer. You offered to put him in touch with people in the legal feild who could help him. You did all these things without ever hearing from the buyer, it never occurred to you that the seller might have been in the wrong or had a personal agenda. You and others assumed the buyer was a liar and a theif. As a moderator you should have diffused the siuation instead of feeding it. I have read other posts on this forum that trash people simply for asking a question that others feel has already been answered. I have read posts where people trash the qaulity of collings guitars and the people who build them. In this very thread you have proposed starting a poll to kick someone out. There seems to be people on this forum who are negative and feel they are superior to others. I maybe newly registerd but I have spent enough time on this forum to get an understanding of what it is really all about.

Sorry, but our septic system backed up (true story) so there's nowhere else to put this: I believe the phrase is "absolute power corrupts absolutely", and there is nothing in the moderator role on this entirely voluntary forum that imbues Elambo with anything resembling absolute power, even in this extremely limited purview. So, a temperate soul might conclude that the remedy which leads to a conclusion that "they are nothing more than insects who should be terminated" is hideously disproportionate, to say the least. I won't deal with punctuation or the use of the collective pronoun for an individual. One can only do so much, and then you have to wait for the plumber. May your longitude and your lassitude never meet, save at your poles. That is all. best (really) tom

Where is the wisdom in newbie's arriving onto the forum talking out the side of their necks. Seems to me like some of the problems we have been having lately is from people who have not been around very long. Isha is a quality addition and a few others too, but some of these others are like a storm cloud, they come quickly, drop there load and make a mess and then they're gone. either teach us something or learn something or go away. That's the nicest I can say it. "Pay your dues before you play the blues."

Thank you for proving my pointwith your newbie comments. Is this forum for people who love collings guitars or only for people with lots of posts? Is it you Papi who decides who is worthy to join or post? You have no clue how much time I have spent on this forum but you think you are entitled to judge me.
