May I combine mine into one tasty Lemon Drop martini and go moderate and modulate some slow blues in A and see where it goes?

Yep, if we could move to Am and do maybe "Got a Mind to Give Up Living" or "The Thrill is Gone". Maybe something gospel-like with a II before the V. I love that stuff. so I'm a'gonna go play me some right now. Sans the martini, dammitall. tom p.s. I nominate this for "most pointless thread", and that after posting three or four times on the sucker. Maybe five.

I'm now half way through the Stoli Lemon Drop and I think it was very pointful.

world peace in a frosted glass. I know alcohol causes more problems than it solves, but it does solve some.

overheard this conversation in restaurant booth (with apologies to Seinfeld);

voice #1: I came across something interesting on the internet last night.

voice #2: Really? What was it?

voice #1: The Collingsforum.

voice #2: The Collingsforum? What's it about?

#1: Nothing

#2: Nothing? That's a forum?

#1: That's a forum. They talk about nothing.

#2: Well how long will that last?

#1: I don't know. It seems to have been going on for quite a while now.

#2: Well what happens if someone wants to talk about something?

#1: A moderator steps in and locks the thread.

#2: Locks the thread? He can do that?

#1: Apparently he can. I've seen it done.

I know of two threads that have been locked since this forum started, neither of which was locked merely because "someone want(ed) to talk about something."

In fact, since you've provoked the conversation, it is you, JKR, that is directly responsible for the locking of the last thread, and also for a member leaving the forum. Have I kicked you out? No. SHOULD I? I have a feeling that the majority of the members might say yes.

If the forum offers you nothing, and you've made it entirely clear that it does not, why participate? There's no prize for most posts. No status which accompanies joining the campfire. In fact, we offer nothing at all, as you've said.

But my hunch is that all this publicity, even if negative, is the exact food you're searching for. So why do I bother...? Your latest one was entertaining - what will be next?

Thanks to all of you who understand the point of the forum! Without all the participants it's just a few hard drives and brown graphics.

If I have any say (and I do) it won't continue to succumb to the recent trolling. Given enough time, any place will be tested. This is merely a small bump in the road.
