Ace,

I added you to the purchase list. Smile No one has volunteered. Ideally, Collings would order a batch of mugs and we'd commit to buying XX number of mugs. While a common ceramic mug isn't very expensive, the cost would definitely rise when you add a shipping box, packing mat'l, handling time and postage...whether Collings distributed the mugs or whether one of us did it.

Here's the latest regarding the mugs.

I have been in contact with them. This will be getting into gear and it will be done on their side, which means we don't have to worry about getting them made ourselves. That was probably not going to work anyway due to brand name restrictions. Once the mugs are ready, they will let me know. As Forum members, we will get a "special" deal. We will just need to figure out (when that time comes) how many we need, how to get them from Collings, and how to orchestrate the distrubution (payment and shipping) for each member.

Eric - if you don't mind, be the keeper of the list and maybe we can do another checkpoint survey once the are made available.

That is it for now. Thanks.

Ace

WOW! Thanks Ace! That's great! I'll keep the list running on page 3 of this thread.

Tom F., Mike D., and Kuger were added. If anyone wants to change their quantity in the list just let me know.

Depending on how they looked I'd be in for at least 4 coffee mugs. They would be a great conversation starter I'm sure and would surely add to the flavor of my favorite morning ritual.

There's nothing finer then a good cup of Jo in the morning while playing one of my beloved Colling guitars.

Best,
George

sure I'm in. I would get several if they go with the heavier "diner style" mugs.

I did the Collings factory tour last Friday (just before Memorial Day....monsoons in Texas, I'll tell you), and Steve showed me a mockup of a mug they've been thinking about. Quite cool...images of different Collings guitars and mandos vertically around the mug. Mind you, I don't think they are really focused on it, but they might give someone permission to reproduce or something, if someone wanted to pursue it.
