I sliced my finger and palm open last night, requiring 9 stitches, now im trying to figure out how to play Django style.....Guess I'll have to dust off the Ukulele and strum that for a while, have to cancel a couple of gigs. Any three finger
techniques anyone wanna share? lol D1AVSB ( no popsicle brace) D2HG : myspace.com/michaelinsanantone |

Dredpicker,
Man, sorry to hear about your playing hand injuries. Hope you heal fast, and get back to normal technique! I have no 3 finger techniques to offer, only a good bit of empathy....but that dosen't help play a tune on your Collings. Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery, Michael |

Thanks Michael, thats actually pretty helpful. I am picking up my neglected ukulele, as I can finger most chords with three digits. Moral here, be careful slicing your prosciutto! It can be dangerous! LOL

Dredpicker,

Michael,
Prosciutto!! I'll be in Portland the first week in August. I'm gonna do my best to go to The Italian Peoples Bakery in Trenton the day before I come out and bring you a pound of Prosciutto! Maybe I'll add a half of Pancetta. Oops, do I hear a Google search? I'll also teach you the correct pronunciation. #6186 2000 OM-3HG # 924 1994 C-10 black Dlx custom w/cutaway |

Randy,
My moms Italian, so no need to help with the pronunciation, you could stop by and get some canoles if they are fresh, some capocolla and bresaola, Ill make the pasta and crack open a nice Valpolicella to drink, and celebrate me not cutting off mia il dito, and just slicing it to the bone. NOt fun, I promise. My Collings looks at me mournfully, like in running of with my goomah as I walk by her.... D1AVSB ( no popsicle brace) D2HG : myspace.com/michaelinsanantone |

Boy, would I love to show either of my Collings the Cascade Range, but it's not in the cards. The only thing I feel comfortable shipping for the week I'll be there is my Trek. I'm willing to risk UPS damage and temperature extremes on the bike!

This is one of those threads that would have been absolutely impossible to predict -- someone rendered unable to play a guitar through a dangerous encounter with a prosciutto! Truly amazing . . .
Maybe you can try a hum-a-zoo until your finger is better -- just don't burn your mouth on hot pizza . . . |

Played last night, and another gig on sunday. Pinky is still on and still rocking! I have switched to pre sliced ham as I have several gigs comming up!

You are correct, sir.
...and it's cannoli. As in "Leave the gun. Take the cannoli." #6186 2000 OM-3HG # 924 1994 C-10 black Dlx custom w/cutaway |
