Randy, thanks for waking me up again to Gold. Hadn't owned it in years (not sure how it left the collection; I think an ex-girlfriend took it), but I picked it up this morning. Great stuff Cool

I saw a recent performance film of a concert in Nashvile. Perhaps he was at the Ryman? At one point in the concert he mentions that the guitar he was holding has "come home". Because it used to belong to Hank Williams......

Yeah Wes,I remember reading an interview with Neil some years ago and he mentioned about Hank Jr. giving him one of Hank Sr.s old D-28's.

I love the stories of music legends giving guitars to each other. I guess Clapton was one of the most generous but it was Stephen Stills who gave
Clapton that 30's 000-42 used on the Unplugged DVD/CD as a favor for playing on a solo Stills LP.

Yeah, we should do more of that on the forum Wink

How about that Johnny Cash giving Dylan a guitar backstage at the Newport Folk Festival back in the early/mid 60's. I think it was a rare Larson Bros..

Would anyone know the name of the DVD with Neil Young playing at the Ryman, it's the recent one where he is playing an old D28 sitting in a chair??.
A few tracks were on You Tube for a while but they have disappeared.
