This forum is and has been an incredible resource for me. I am no longer a working musician and don't hang around players or frequent music stores as I once did. I've gotten more useful information regarding everything from pickups, to tuners, to custom builders and their instruments to opinions on various Collings models and options.
I would like this resource to continue. In my short time as a member of this site I have participated in the only 2 threads that have ever been locked. Perhaps it's my fault. The guitar talk and the friendly interaction are what set this forum apart. There are plenty of other places to vent on things unrelated to Collings and guitars.

This forum is one of my favorite places on the web, an oasis of courtesy and decorum. I'm certain one of the reasons for this is that the forum is moderated by a group of thoughtful individuals who respect the spirited exchange of ideas, while recognizing the need for reasonable limits. Thanks elambo, for all you do.

This forum is great because generally speaking, Collings owners are happy with their instruments and love to encourage others to find what Colligs guitars are all about. This is not to say one could not be perfectly happy with a Martin, Taylor, or Yamaha, but just that there is less whineing and complaining because the Collings Nation is generally a happy group of people.

Amen on the value of this forum, and for elambo's judicious use of restraint. Even in a good harvest, you have to separate the wheat from the chaff. More of the former than the latter here, for sure, but keep the baby powder handy in case of chaffing. Caveat emptor, keep your powder dry and your cholesterol low. Good night, nurse, what a swamp. and I like Yamahas; very good motorcycles, and decent pianos, or so I'm told. All hail Austin.
holy cow, talk about needing a little bit of that worry be gone. quite frankly i thought it was a very funny post considering the thread i was referencing off of.. the 24 hr post where everyone was p.o.'ed at each other . me, i was on the sidelines on that one. didn't say hardly a word. you know what they say, disgreschin is the better part of valors!!!
Yeah, we all need a palatte cleanse after the 'this won't last 24 hours' thread. The guitar didn't last 24 hours but the thread was going to be 25 pages if not retired early.
