I wonder if anyone of you have any bad experience with UPS...

It happens to me when I ordered my OM1A from the State.. the seller send it to me via UPS using their Collect Flight Service.. i.e. The buyer will pay for the shipping fee when he collect the item. And UPS will only pass over the parcel if the buyer pay.

I pay for it when I receive the Guitar, and thats supposed to be the only way they will pass me the guitar.. I kept the receipt for a while but throw away as I don't think I needed it anymore... but about last month (three to four months after the shippment)... UPS sent an invoice to the seller.. asking for the money.. He keep receiving invoice and reminder notice..... He called UPS and they ask for the receipt.

Since I don't have the receipt.. I called up UPS locally and told them the case.. they confirmed that UPS will only let go the Parcel upon receival of full payment for all Collect Flight item.. And promised to have it fix up with UPS America..

But UPS keep sending Invoice to the seller in which it is very annoying.. They keep asking the seller for the receipt. It doesn't make sense to me as UPS is the one who ensure the payment recieved before they give me the parcel and this is how they protect the sender! If they mistakenly didn't receive the money and pass the parcel to the buyer.. its their problem... And in this case.. I payed when recieving the guitar.

Anyone have any similar experience...?? The way they send invoice to the sender doesn't make sense to us and if finally.. we have to pay for the shipping charge again.. it will be very unfair to both of us.. (the buyer and the seller)

I hope some of you can share your experience with and advise for any next action needed. mad

If you paid with cash, that's not good. But if you paid with a check, your cancelled check is a pretty good piece of evidence. Also, they should have a copy of the receipt themselves- if you can remember the date, you might be able to get them to look it up.
