Easy answer: Kodaicanal, Ooty, Goa, or Pondicherry in India. They speak English, you can get a five course (vegetarian) meal for 60 cents, and Indian medical services are excellent. The increase in medical tourism is astounding. Got two root canals, procelain crowns, a filling (all far superior than what my dentist here does), all the Xrays etc. for under $200. People are benign and friendly. Lots, I mean lots, of expats in Goa.

+1 for Costa Rica

It's been said that growing old is realizing you'll never have all the dogs or guitars you want.

I can't think anything better than Greece.
Sunshine,good healthy food,history,beautiful islands,but....you pay 5 Euros(yes,that's $ 7
bucks )for a cappuchino coffee!!
I'm proud that i'm Greek and live here, but the prices have gone waaay up,sometimes i believe that i live in Tokio.
