I don't know how many folks had a chance to visit Kevin of Hill Country Guitars at the "off-site" location at the Melrose Hotel in Dallas today, but I was impressed - as usual - with his work. I thought the idea of locating his excellent wares away from the cacophony of the Dallas Guitar Show was brilliant. His setup at the Melrose was superb - with over 40 outstanding guitars. And the food and drink were very well done.

More importantly for me, rather than try to cajole a sale out of me, Kevin reconfirmed my faith in an outstanding guitar I'd purchased from him three years ago.

A thoroughly class act, that guy. I hope he did well during the Guitar Show weekend.

I think this was an excellent alternative to the show. Don't think Kevin was charging admission and I'll bet it was much quieter than Market Hall. I wish I could have made it, also. Here's hoping you did well, Kevin.
