FS: 2003 Steve Andersen Electric Archie - $5,250 shipped and insured in Continental U.S.
This guitar by Seattle-based luthier Steve Andersen (http://andersenguitars.com/site/) is a result of Bill Frisell's interest in a guitar that would work as an all around traveling and recording guitar. Based on his standard acoustic archtop Little Archie model, which Bill also helped design, this takes a big step towards being an electric guitar while maintaining certain acoustic aspects. It has a hand-carved spruce top and maple back like a traditional archtop, but the top has been left full thickness in the center to provide a solid platform for the pickups. The neck joins the body at the 16th fret providing easy access to the high notes and the 24.9 inch scale makes the guitar very comfortable to play, while giving it some of the spank of a longer-scale archtop like an L-5... Features
The "New" price for this model is $7,500, and has a substantial wait time. Some pictures: Taxes and tuition forcing this sale. This instrument is in excellent condition, and is very clean with the exception of a couple of minor indentations in the top, to the right and left of the tailpiece (visible on the larger "body" shot.) $5,250 shipped and insured within the Continental U.S. Email or call with any questions. mojo.y@mindspring.com 609 203 4211 - mobile Regards, Dave Orban |
