Would any of you fellow Collings owners be will to part with an SJ? Do you know anyone who would be? I recently played and SJ, and liked the Collings take on Gibson better than the namesake. The guitar I played was sitka/maple, but I am flexible on woods, as I've rarely played a Collings in adi/mah or sit/IR I didn't love. Sunburst would be a plus. Thanks. You can contact me at Gouxman@sbcglobal.net
This is a variation on that theme, but I am trying to sell a near mint SJ Indian/cedar. Loud? I played it in a bluegrass band! Photos at Sonoma Valley Music website. Easy terms available. No adjectives, but check it out. Please? Don't think of cedar as no headroom and warmth with little clarity. It's the opposite of that, like twenty year old sikta. The photos speak for themselves. Direct sale can be arranged, and the price is negotiable. thanks tom
I have a 96 custom mahagony/Sitka SJ that I'm thinking of selling. I've never seen another one like it, except, I believe, Mark Hanson might have a similar model. Very spare and elegant, it excels in alternative tunings. I haven't committed to selling because I love this guitar, but might consider offers if anyone is interested.
Collings SJs are my favorite guitar style. I would give Sonoman's guitar a try and see what you think. My cedar/mah sounds fantastic and I'm sure his cedar/rosewood is of equal quality.
My sitka/rosewood SJ is my favorite guitar... it has depth, unparalleled clarity, and plenty of volume.

i would have bought sonoman's SJ, but i wanted a maple guitar. his guitar is a stunner. i bought a maple and sitka about 6 weeks ago. these models are clear, loud, easy to play(imho), and look great.
