This 2003 00-42G model is made with East Indian rosewood back and sides, select spruce top (German) and prewar scalloped bracing. It has grained ivoroid binding with select abalone shell pieces, sandwiched by black/white/black purfling, inlaid around the top border and fretboard extension. It also has a rosette of select abalone and black/white purfling. Other features include a bone nut and compensated saddle, Colosi bone bridge pins with 4mm abalone inlay, a grained ivoroid bound fingerboard and double bound slotted headstock, gloss-finished mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and pyramid bridge, a fancy, multi-colored "chevron" backstrip and no pickguard. There is a rosewood headstock overlay with a mother-of-pearl classic torch inlay, traditional 42-style snowflake fretboard inlays (short pattern) and Waverly 3-on-a plate, engraved, bronze tuners with ivoroid knobs. This guitar has good frets (no refretting needed), flat fingerboard (no resetting needed), no cracks, scratches or other blemishes that I can see.

It's a gorgeous instrument and sounds like it too. It has probably spent most of its life in its case, but I can only speak for the last year that I have had it.

I would like to get $5300.00 for it (including shipping) or trade for a Collings dread (D-3, D-41 or D-42, also shipped, and preferably a slothead if such exists, and definitely with a neck at least 1 3/4" width, preferably wider, at the nut) or an equivalent instrument.

I would love to make a local delivery here in the Maryland/Virginia/DC area, but can ship within the CONUS. Shipping overseas, although not out of the question, would require further negotiations.

If you can't get to the following photos, please email me at tmansonusa@msn.com

P.S. The Waverly-Sloanes and Colosi pins were installed post pictures, so the pics only show the gold single Wave's and whatever pins were OEM.
